Opening Summer of 2010, Free classes for everyone
The Shawn Funk School of Art & Music will provide a place for
artists and musicians to share their talents with the community. It
will bring in members from all over the northern hills community
which in turn will bring in business for current business owners and
hopeful new businesses to our community. The school will give back
to it's community by beautifying the town of Newell, SD, and drawing
culturally diverse new members into our community. The school will
also provide a place for community members to come in the evenings
and enjoy movies, polka music, book clubs, and an endless amount of
activities.

About Annie Cole
The Shawn Funk School of Art & Music will be lead by Annie Cole. Annie
earned her degree in Art at Black Hills State University. In the past
years she has taught Preschool and worked in Human Resources. She has gained valuable knowledge from these experiences that will be put
into play as the school begins to take shape. Annie now has the chance
to make her dream of working with Art, Music and the community
become a reality.
